Our Story
History of NWF Advisory Group
NWF Advisory Group, originally known as The AFP Group, was founded in 1969 with a commitment to providing quality financial services to its clients.
However, it was under the stewardship of Michael Curry in 1994 that the firm truly began to flourish. Michael's vision and leadership propelled the company to the forefront of Financial Planning and Wealth Management during their formative years, leading to the successful rebranding of the firm as New World Financial.
In 2007, a pivotal moment occurred when Shehab Mohammad was introduced to Michael Curry. Shehab's extensive experience in advisor leadership and relationship management along with his extensive knowledge of the industry and the needs of advisors, has significantly contributed to the national reputation of NWF Advisory Group as a trusted fiduciary firm.
Shehab's extensive experience in advisor leadership and relationship management dates back to 1994, when he joined Royal Alliance Associates. He has an innate ability to connect with people on a personal level, which has contributed significantly to the national reputation of NWF Advisory Group as a trusted fiduciary firm.
Under Shehab's guidance, NWF Advisory Group has experienced tremendous growth and expansion, with a nationwide presence that boasts a significant increase in the number of advisors and a considerable expansion of the firm's Assets Under Administration. Throughout this growth, the Firm has remained steadfast in its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of advisor and client care in the industry.
